JAS Goes LEAN

Jet Aviation Specialsits, Inc. (JAS) a leader in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, CFM and Honeywell turbine engine components has decided to deploy LEAN manufacturing methodologies in an effort to become more competitive through cost reduction and resource allocation. The process will include training and practical applications in Lean manufacturing, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen. Projects have been identified and will run through the end of 2006. Additional projects and continuous improvement will continue after this initial phase.
